About Hanoi

Hanoi is the capital city of Vietnam. This is a city that mixes old and new. Cultural heritage sites are scattered nearly everywhere you look. St. Joseph's Cathedral is built to look like the Notre-Dame de Paris. The whole place is completely suffused with various flavors of history. The Temple of Literature is a Confucian temple in the Chinese architectural style, and the clouds of incense in the One Pillar Pagoda indicate its importance as a popular place for locals to pray. Other than traces of antiquity, there are also many scenic spots related to Ho Chi Minh such as the Ho Chi Minh Stilt House, the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum and the Ho Chi Minh Museum. You can go to Hoan Kiem Lake, where the locals like to stroll and cool off, or you can go to the 36 streets of the Old Quarter to buy unique local souvenirs. Once night falls, go to the Thang Long Water Puppet Theatre to watch Vietnam's national art form - the water puppet show - come to life.

Church
St. Joseph's Cathedral is an ancient church in Hanoi. It is a representative French building in Hanoi. The Cathedral features a complex main altar inside, fitted with stained-glass windows, and consists of two square-shaped towers. The gate of the Cathedral will only open when the mass is conducted, and visitors need to use side doors when it is closed. Opposite to the Cathedral is Nha Tho Street, where Hanoi's emerging boutique shops and cafes are located.

Featured Neighborhood
The 36th Street is located in the old town on the north side of Hoan Kiem Lake. It is the main commercial street in Hanoi. In the past, each street basically only sold goods of the same industry variety, so it was called “walking street”. The entire neighborhood is prosperous and original, stylish and old, with many characteristic craft shops and studios by local artists. The variety of handicrafts and souvenirs sold on the 36th Street is very complete, and you can find Vietnamese silk products, national costumes, special decorations and so on.

Vietnam's long and narrow shape and lengthy coastline provide the country with a wealth of recreational resources. Eating seafood and snorkeling are a must, and going out in rowing boats, swimming in the Mekong River, taking a mud bath, and watching the water puppet shows are just some of the special experiences you can have in Vietnam.
