In the slightly empty Bating Square, the tomb of President Ho Chi Minh is the most magnificent and solemn building. The mausoleum faces east from west. The mausoleum is 21.6 meters high and consists of three parts: the base, the body and the top of the mausoleum. The mausoleum is made of gray-black, dark red and silver-gray granite. The inner layer is the platform for major celebrations and mass gatherings, the middle layer is the main part of the mausoleum, and the outer layer is a massive granite pillar. The upper layer is inlaid with rubies with the words "Chairman Ho Chi Minh". Looking out at the red granite wall facing the gate in the outdoors, there is a famous saying of Ho Chi Minh - "Nothing is more valuable than independence and freedom". Chairman Ho Chi Minh's Crystal Coffin was placed in the viewing room. On September 2, 1945, President Ho Chi Minh read out the Declaration of Independence and proclaimed the birth of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam. The Tomb of President Ho Chi Minh was built on September 2, 1973 and completed in August 1978. Attention - "Looking at the remains must be neatly dressed, carry-on items must be deposited, not photographed. We must follow the command and wait in line. In case of major festivals, the queuing time will be as long as one or two hours. Foreign leaders are not allowed to enter when they visit the tomb to lay flowers.
Ho Chi Minh city's mausoleum is a very important place for all Vietnamese. I didn't regret getting up in the morning and visiting the Ho Chi Minh mausoleum. The main thing is to find the entrance. It is located on the back side of the complex. The queue moves very quickly. In Russia, I saw Lenin's mausoleum and I was interested to see the Ho Chi Minh mausoleum. I think they are even a little similar. Next to the mausoleum there is a memorial Museum with a house of Ho Chi Minh city and a large Museum of Ho Chi Minh city. Visiting the mausoleum is free of charge. Museums for a fee. Photo and video prohibited.
There are two Vietnamese slogans written on both sides of the tomb, one on the south side (Fig. 6) is translated as "Long Live the Socialist Republic of Vietnam" and the other on the north side (Fig. 7) is translated as "The Great President Ho Chi Minh lives forever in our cause". The present mausoleum is open to the public regularly with free admission tickets, but it needs to be deposited in advance at the security checkpoint.
Worth a visit! It's very interesting to see, and they're quite strict about moving you along, no hands in pockets, etc. Don't come right when it opens, as there's a queue of tourists, to my surprise. When I left the queue had vanished and people could walk straight in.
Very interesting to visit such a sightseeing which is an important thing for the Socialist Republic of Vietnam. And these are my photos.
The weather was extramely hot and every friday n monday closed, so we didnt have chance to visit inside.
The Tomb of Ho Chi Ming, located in the west of Bating Square, is made of gray granite and contains the remains of a generation of great men. Every year from October to the beginning of the second year, the remains are sent to Russia for inspection and maintenance procedures, so tourists can not visit them. There are two white-coated soldiers guarding the entrance of the mausoleum. Visitors need to deposit baggage and cameras when they visit the mausoleum.
In Hanoi, Vietnam, there is a huge square - Bating Square, which means to Vietnam like our Tian'anmen Square. Ho Chi Ming Mausoleum was built in the square. Ho Chi Minh was the founder of Vietnam. Since the War of Resistance Against Japan, he has been engaged in the cause of independence of the motherland. After the founding of the People's Republic of China, General Chen Geng helped Ho Chi Minh drive out the French. The Chinese people helped Ho Chi Minh defeat the Americans.
