Peaceful place. So many Union soldiers were interned here in one of the Civil War's bloodiest battles.
Well-kept cemetery
The cemetery was close to the visitor center. It was very well-kept, especially for civil-war era graves. Worth a stop before leaving the visitor center area.

The Shiloh National Cemetery is an absolute must walk through on your visit to the Shiloh Battlefield. Be sure to walk all the way down to Pittsburgh Landing and try to imagine trying to lug a cannon...
Beautiful and Serene
Shiloh National Cemetery is located inside the Shiloh Military Park. It overlooks Pittsburg Landing and the Tennessee River. It is well maintained and is very serene. It is moving to see the rows...
Tranquil
This is a beautiful National Cemetery. Since it's right next to the Shiloh NMP Visitor Center, it's well worth spending a few minutes visiting the cemetery as well.
