Kasimiye Madrasha

Kasimiye Seminary is a beautiful stone building situated on a hill next to the city of Mardin. The seminary was established in 1469 and served as an area of higher education institutions, including the study of religion and science. The charm here is the stately courtyard surrounded by vaulted colonnades and the ornate, intricately carved doorways, which are still intact despite the years. Upstairs is the student's residence, from where you can enjoy the spectacular panorama of Mardin and the beautiful plains of Mesopotamia.
