The "Educated Youth Museum" opened in 2009 and is located in the town of Heihe, Heihe. It is the first special museum in China with the theme of national educated youth history. It has been rated as "provincial patriotism education base" and "provincial top ten boutiques". The museum, the "national three-level museum", "national AAA-level tourist attractions" and other titles. In 2012, it was included in the free museum at the central level. In 2013, it was awarded the Best Comprehensive Demonstration Award by the Free Open Museum of Heilongjiang Province. On June 30, 2018, the Heilongjiang Provincial Academy of Social Sciences educated youth historical and cultural research base was established in the educated youth museum; on July 24, 2018, the educated youth museum won the title of National Cultural Relics System Advanced Collective (only one of Heilongjiang Province won this honor).
