As a Hengyang native, I really hope that Hengyang can rebuild the zoo that has remained unchanged for decades.
Hengyang Zoo is located in Yanfeng District, Hengyang City, an important town in Central South China. It was founded in 1956 and expanded in 1980. It is the only zoo in southern Hunan. It is the second largest in the province and covers an area of 154 mu. , The greening rate in the park reaches 68%. The existing animal cage covers an area of more than 6,000 square meters, divided into seven areas: the beast house, monkey mountain, bird house, herbivore area, crawling house, fur animal house, hippo house, etc. There are 58 species of animals and more than 400 heads (feathers). The first-class national key protected animals include: giant panda, Siberian tiger, leopard, sika deer, jaguar, python, jaguar, Bengal monitor lizard, Australian kangaroo, etc. The second category of protected animals includes more than 50 species such as African lions, black bears, brown bears, macaques, and camels. Walking among them, the birds chirping and the peacocks open the screen, which is quite natural.
