Caozhou Peony Garden dates back to the Ming and Qing dynasties. It is home to over 1 million peony plants from more than 800 varieties. The flowers bloom from mid-April to early May. The garden also contains hundreds of other plant species including flowering peach trees, lotus flowers, chrysanthemums, Japanese allspice, and roses.
