Recommended by a friend, I didn't let me lose. The owner also acts as a waiter. Her English is very good and super friendly.
Classic bistro brings a slice of France to KTownHave been here multiple times without disappointment. Very charming little place which can get crowded. No corkage helps make it feel all the more like your (French) grandmas kitchen...So many nice dishes the stand-outs were:Escargot (garlic butter and marrow) - generous portion and scrumptious, goes well with table bread or truffle friesCote de bouef - beautiful steak for 4+ which is presented well, tender and difficult to not devour in one sittingSquid - very good though not my favourite, my friends really loved thisSuckling pig - insert a little HK fare which actually is succulent and goes very wellIf you like bistro environment and food (a bit crowded, not too formal) you should not miss this little gem

Bistro Du Vin looked perfect, just like an authentic French bistro! The atmosphere was friendly and inviting. We chose from the special 3 course meal menu, We started with the signature Egg Brandade and Bayonne Ham Salad, for mains Daily Catch (Salmon) and US Rib eye and fries. To finish Creme Brulee and Pink Tirimisu all washed down a bottle of oit... yum all for 557 HKD including service charge and a steady supply of warm bread. High points; the egg Brandade, salad and the Rib eye was superb, well marbled, full of flavour and cooked perfectly over charcoal. Low points just the pink Tirimisu which didnt impress. Do we recommend and will we return; Yes. Points to improve; when you visit a bistro in France you can rely on a selection of wine including reasonably priced reds. I am more than happy to spend some extra dollars for...
