Tai Mo Shan Country Park

From MTR Tsuen Wan Station, take the No. 51 minibus to Tai Mo Shan Country Park. We first climbed the cement steps and climbed for about ten minutes to the visitor center. The mist shrouded the distant Tai Mo Shan. Walk along the mountain road to enjoy the scenery of Tsuen Wan, Tsing Yi and even Hong Kong Island, and you can also see the appearance of Lion Rock and Bijia Mountain. Near the end, you can also enjoy the green scenery of Chengmen Forest Planting Area.

Follow the gravel road up, pass the sign at the Tai Mo Shan Country Park Visitor Centre. Continue along the road up. You will see the big wave coming closer and closer to the Peak Observatory radar station. Near the top of the mountain, there are many mango grasses, looking down the mountain, you can also enjoy the scenery of Kowloon, the New Territories, and even Shenzhen! It takes about 3 hours to take pictures back and forth. If children go, be careful, because there will be many cars on the road.

Take the No. 80 minibus from Chuanlong Street in Tsuen Wan to Chuanlong, and then go to MacLehose Trail. You can go to Fujia Park. If you don’t want to go, you can take bus No. 51 above Tsuen Wan MTR station to go to the fisherman care office.

Tai Mo Shan is the most frozen place in Hong Kong. Every winter, many citizens drive to Tai Mo Shan in the early morning to see the frosty landscape that is rare in Hong Kong. If you want to visit the peak of Tai Mo Shan, you can walk along the Tai Mo Shan Road. When the sky is clear, the observation deck overlooks almost all parts of the western and northern New Territories, as well as panoramic views of Yuen Long and Baxiang Plains, and even as far as Shekou and Shenzhen. The park's forested areas are located in the southeast, but due to climate and geographical constraints, the forest can only extend to a height of 550 meters, and the slopes on it are mainly shrubs and grass. The area is rich in species, with a record of about 100 species of birds alone, and a wide variety of butterfly species. The snakes have rhabditated blunt-headed snakes, red-necked snakes, green bamboo snakes and water laws. Damo Mountain is a high-rise, roaming, and you can naturally enjoy beautiful scenery. Most of the road on the Damaoshan Jiale Trail is paved with gravel, wide and flat; suitable for a family of young and old to stroll around. From the starting point of the Jiale Trail, go through the Country Park Consulting Station and walk into the tree path. On the way, you can see the common trees in Hong Kong suburbs such as Acacia, Maple and Pine trees in Taiwan. The scenery is pleasant, and when the weather is good, you can overlook the Bay, Tsing Yi and Hong Kong Island. When the mist is foggy, the scenery is faint; if you are in a fairyland. Tai Mo Shan Country Park is a country park in Hong Kong covering an area of 1,440 hectares. The park surrounds the highest peak of Hong Kong, Da Mo Shan Mountain, 957 meters. The Dongzhai Special Area is located within Da Mo Shan Country Park.
