Sai Kung is located on the Sai Kung Peninsula in the New Territories of Hong Kong. Sai Kung is known as "Hong Kong’s back garden" because of the beautiful hiking trails and beaches in this area. The village of Sai Kung is also noted locally for its seafood restaurants, many of which are located on the seafront, known as "Seafood Street." Sai Kung is a gateway to the surrounding area which contains fantastic country parks with some of Hong Kong's most fabulous hiking spots and beaches, a myriad of small islands, and also the Hong Kong UNESCO Global Geopark. Sai Kung is a delightful picture-perfect seaside town and a great place to visit in the New Territories.
wonderful area with extensive simple public transport. There are plenty of cafès and sea front seafood restaurants .The best attraction is a "hidden gem called Hoi Ha".Hou ha has a few beauty spots hidden within its jungles.Trekking is very enjoyable there. I did a trail that led me to a beautiful quiet beach and magnificent breathtaking views as per attached pictures. This was the highlight of my trip tò HK.
I wanted to go directly from Shatian by bus 299, but the departure time in the morning was 10:30, so I had to turn to exit C of Rainbow Station on Kwun Tong Line immediately, and there was a minibus station 1A line in less than 100 meters. The minibus passengers were few, mostly local people, and the driver of the minibus was very considerate to the elderly, women and children. He patiently reminded them not to sit steadily in a hurry, and the guests said that they would appreciate it for a long time. Violation of Hong Kong-style human courtesy. Within half an hour, we arrived at Saigon Pier. The pavement came with a sea breeze with a fishy smell. The archways of Seafood Street are easy to find, along which are seafood restaurants. There is also a two-storey Saigon market, which sells seafood on the whole floor. Because it's not early or late at 11 o'clock. We had a Port-style breakfast at a tea restaurant and strolled around. Later, I was ready to take a wooden boat to return to the island for a swim. The boat owner said that there were several islands at will. Anyway, there were boats every half hour, as long as the last boat came back at dusk. There are some special swimmers and fishermen who set out with the boat, as well as those who go to sea and turn around like us. Although it was noon, sitting in the boat, coupled with the beautiful sea breeze, was not hot at all. The boatman will also stop at the scenic spot to introduce and let us take pictures. When we went to Qiaozui Island, we couldn't help seeing the clear bottom of the sea. There are special areas on the island for swimming, with shark net pavilions in all directions, beside which there are locker rooms, shower rooms, small shops, etc., which are very convenient. Regret not having brought swimsuit equipment, the sea water is very clean and pleasant. It was half past two when we got back to Saigon Pier. In the afternoon tea time, I order a beer in the open-air bar and have a rest in the scenery. Suddenly, I feel like going to Southeast Asia for a vacation. Then we took the minibus Route 7 to take a turn at the end of Saigon Country Park. The driver knew what we were going to do and took us straight to the start of Merriho Trail and put it down. The wheat track is 100 kilometers long and runs through the whole Kowloon Peninsula. We're just going to walk for three hours and go back to the dock for a seafood dinner. So without pressure, walk slowly along the winding mountain road. Today is a non-Hong Kong weekend holiday with few visitors. Flat asphalt pavement is easy to walk on. About a kilometer from now, the Wanyi Reservoir is rippling on the left. The reservoir is surrounded by mountains, but the area is very large and open. Walking beside the green mountains and rivers is also relaxing and happy! When we saw the sunset set, we were ready to go home. Back at the dock, we waited for minibus 9. There are buses on weekends. In fact, the traffic here is convenient. Dinner selected the most popular full record, cheese lobster taste is very strong, other seafood products are good, especially raw oyster Yuanbei is quite fat. Seven seafood and a bottle of white wine totaled HK$1300 for this meal. Everyone was satisfied with it! Come back and take Bus 299 directly to Shatian Terminus. The bus stops at Shatian Terminus for about an hour. It was 9 p.m. to return to Futian Port. Saigon is known as the backyard of Hong Kong and is worth visiting.
We took a bus and then a mini bus to Sai Kung. From there we jumped in a boat. Quite a pleasant ride and awesome views. Sadly, weather got bad and we were soaking wet but again managed to appreciate the landscape. It was breathtaking when we reached the top. Also water level was low enough to reach the other side of the island. Loved every second of it, I'll be sure to come back on a nice weather.
Saigon was a place that I wanted to go to Hong Kong three years ago but had no time to go. Civilized by the National Geopark and by the backyard of Hong Kong. The so-called Geopark is because there are many sea erosion caves which are rare in geology. I heard that there were 65 people traveling around the small island. They went to one small island by boat. There were some abandoned houses on some small islands. Although they went in broad daylight, they were still a little lame. But if you pay attention to the observation, you will have different feelings, such as very old kerosene lamps. The last stop around the island is the most open, the scenery is the best, the sea is the clearest and the sand is very fine. A lot of people came here to take pictures. You can also see some canoeists training here. The whole island tour lasts about an hour and a half, and you can play on the last island. When you want to go back to the dock and wait a few minutes, the boat will come. If you don't encounter a company ship back and forth, you can either wait or take any boat for HK$10. Hint, if you go to Saigon, you'd better know Cantonese, because the sailors are grandparents, many of them don't understand Mandarin, they will misunderstand when they speak, one point and two points are the most difficult to distinguish.
Saigon. It enjoys the reputation of Hong Kong's back garden. I used to be a frequent visitor here. This time I'm in Hong Kong for 12 days. In fact, the most desirable place is Saigon. The reason is that memories of those years become memories of the present. I like Saigon cheese baked lobster best. Very delicious... Super Food because I live in Causeway Bay this time. I change the subway at North Point to say something. Get off the subway. Go to the back of the subway station and take the minibus 101. M can get to Saigon in about 20 minutes and walk for a while. It feels like 10 years like a day. Nothing much has changed. Maybe it was just a rush. I haven't noticed that there are still half-day tours here. Very happy. It suits me well. I want to see Saigon clearly. After all, I really don't want to go for a walk. Not to mention the mentality of traveling here, I bought HK$60 for Qiaozui Island and started my journey. The old man is very interesting to introduce scenic spots. First arrived at a ruined and dripping uninhabited island, then arrived at Qiaozui Island The coral on the island can be seen. Although today's weather is not very bright. The coincidence point is that you can still see faint drops of coral in the water. There are also some tourists swimming and fishing on the island. It's very enjoyable if you come to Hong Kong to travel. Sincerely consider this scenic spot... Saigon... A place where people will not be disappointed today... Fabulous
Fishing Village Style: Enchanted with the original seascape. In the morning, taking the Kwun Tong Line of MTR to Caihong reversed to Saigon minibus, we drove a mountain road. Enchanted by the intoxicating scenery, we were fascinated by the sea breeze blowing at the new public wharf and the majestic mountain rocks enjoyed by the National Geopark under the express tour. The most famous one is the seafood lobster and other fresh and vigorous seafood products, which are attractive just believing Buddha. Fishermen here have to pray for their safety before going out to sea. Wind, rain, harvest and shrines can be seen everywhere. There is also a famous seaside square that goes south. It is absolutely necessary for HK to go deep into the original ecological fishing village.
Saigon, with the World Geopark (second to the United Nations World Natural Heritage Site) and the Meriho Trail, which is liked by outdoors, is 100 kilometers long. The first, second, third and fourth sections of the essence are all in Saigon, among which the third and fourth sections are very physically exhausting, because they need to be re-equipped and there are basically no supply points along the way. I left the other day.
After eating Hong Kong's first "Man Kee Dessert" in Saigon City Center, we took a boat trip to Qiaozui Island across the sea at Saigon Wharf. The island is quite large. We can turn over a hill from Qiaozui to Xiamen Bay Beach, which is officially rated as the best beach in Hong Kong.
There are many fishing boats selling seafood near the wharf. Visitors can buy seafood from fishing boats and take it to the big stalls for processing or directly order the set meals at the big stalls of seafood Street on the seaside. Go straight along the street of the big stall, you can walk to the local small market, there will be some special shops to browse. Friends who like to make close contact with the sea can also buy a ticket at the dock and walk to the adjacent islands. The sea in Hong Kong is clean and the beach is well maintained. It's recommended to spend half a day visiting the Geopark. If you have enough time, you can take your equipment to camp.
Saigon, Hong Kong, can take 299 HK$10.3 from Sha Tin New Town Plaza bus terminus. It's about 40 minutes'drive. Shaking the seashore and beach, you can also spend 50 yuan to tour around the island to the crater and Qiaozui Island. In the evening, it's a good place for the whole family to go out for a tooth sacrifice near Seafood Street.
