Lijin Bureau

The Lijin Bureau was built in Xianfeng five years (1855), is a single-entry three-open wooden-pipe-style building, covering an area of about 330 square meters, construction area of 620 square meters. It is a tax agency established by the Qing Dynasty government in Hongjiang. The Lijin Bureau collects the "lijin tax", also known as "li donation", which is the tax collected by the Qing government on the establishment of checkpoints for goods through domestic water and land routes.
