Located in Waikiki, Kuhio Beach Park is known for concerts and hula dancing near the beach. You'll find many tourists here, but it is beautiful, and there is always something going on. I've gotten free food here because of festivals and street vendors many a time.
I suggest to Look at VRBO and search for Kuhio Beach Park Condo, its a condominium building and being being rented by owners., it's alot cheaper than hotel and only 3 blocks to Waikiki beach and to strip. Best spot you can stay if you're staying in Oahu.... you wont need a car cause everything is just walking distance.
Waikiki's most central beach -- this is where you'll find mobs of tourists, yes. But also some of the sights and sounds of old Hawaii, from the statue of surfing legend and Olympian Duke Kahanamoku to the traditional Hawaiian music and hula show that starts after sunset when the torches get lit and you hear the conch shell get blown. You can rent all the beach gear you need from concession stands (or even sign up for surfing lessons), and there are restrooms and outdoors showers if you need 'em. Parking is difficult, though. Use the public lots farther south near Kapiloani Park, then walk north along the beachside path.
Beautiful beach! It has such great views and when you're in the water, it feels so great! I love this beach!
quite a popular place for sunbathers and swimmers. the waves aren't good enough to surf.
