镇淮楼,又称鼓楼。它本名谯楼,意为城门上的瞭望楼。镇淮楼雄踞于淮安区城中心,坐北面南,底座为砖砌基台,长28米,宽14米,高8米,略呈梯形,坚实稳重。基台上是两层砖木结构的高楼,面阔三间,楼高18.5米,楼顶为重檐九脊式,四角翘起的龙头,似有腾飞之势。登楼门票8元。站在镇淮楼北望,是大运河世界文化遗产点-总督漕运公署遗址,是明清两代统管全国漕运事务的漕运总督官署建筑群。把剑长歌

It is the landmark building of Chuzhou City and was built in Song Dynasty. Originally Zhenjiang Dutongsi Restaurant, in the Ming Dynasty, there was a "copper pot carved with leaks" to tell the time. Later, because it was located in the city, the arch downstairs was the main road of north-south traffic, so it was called "North-South Cardinal"; it was renamed "Zhenhuai Building" during the Tongzhi period of the Qing Dynasty. Its meaning to suppress floods. It was later renamed "Zhongshan Building". Now Zhenhuai Building has been turned into an exhibition hall of Huai'an City Museum, surrounded by gardens. The garden downstairs is planted with cedars, arborvitae, magnolias, parasols, golden osmanthus, Lamei and cherry blossoms from the hometown donated by the former Japanese Prime Minister. It is evergreen in all seasons and has a pleasant floral fragrance. It is surrounded by iron fences, and there are iron gates in the north and south for swimming in and out. There is a stone tablet erected on the flower bed on the north side of the building. The three characters "Zhenhuai Building" are engraved on the front, and the introduction of Zhenhuai Building is engraved on the back.
