Huaibei is situated in the north of Anhui province. It is a popular tourist destination famous for its rich history and picturesque scenery. Major attractions include Xiang Mountain, Huangli Scenic Area, Longji Mountain, Qianlong Lake, Nanhu Wetland Park, Huajia Lake, the Grand Canal Museum and the Huaibei National Mining Museum.
Xiangshan Mountain Forest Park is located close to Huaibei City. There are dozens of cultural and historical attractions found here, including calligraphic stele inscriptions from Emperor Qianlong, the Buffalo Tomb, Sanming Platform and the Zangjing Cave. Towering clouds can be seen from the caves atop the mountain peak. As the seasons change, the view from Xianglu (Incense Burner) Peak changes as well. The natural environment up on top of the ridges has long captivated visitors. Xiangshan Mountain's main attraction is the Xiantong Temple, also known as the Xiangshan Temple. It was originally built during the Western Jin Dynasty, and rebuilt in the Tang Dynasty by Tang Yonghui. The newly built children's paradise and Xiangshan Pool integrate ancient and modern Chinese culture with foreign culture. They are excellent places for visitors to stop and enjoy some recreational time in nature.
Nanhu Wetland Park is located in Changshan South Road, Lieshan District, Huaibei City. It is a comprehensive park integrating water recreation, tourism and leisure. The park has a water culture zone, a teaching and research science zone, a wetland core protection zone and other areas. There are hundreds of plants such as water grass, reeds and water chestnuts, and dozens of wild animals such as wild geese, white cranes and grass hares. It is a great place where local citizens can relax and take a stroll.
Shuanglou Huahai Flower Field is situated south of Shuanglou Village, Gaoqiu Town, Duji District, Huaibei City. There is a lavender-themed flower field, Lily Love Valley, Succulent Plant Hall, Hundred Flower Garden, Shibazakura Garden, blueberry picking garden, Tongxin Lake, Ecological Restaurant, angling and BBQ, children's playground, wedding photo area, etc. It has attracted countless visitors who come here for sightseeing.
Huajia Lake is a Neolithic relic site located in Xincai Town, Lieshan District in the National Garden City of Huaibei. According to the "Suixi County Records", the bottom of the lake is the relic site of the ancient Mocheng City of Guyan Town, during the the periods of Spring and Autumn and the Warring States. Huajia Lake was an irrigation reservoir constructed by Suixi County in accordance with agricultural reform projects for rice production. It is now a water reserve for Huaibei City.
