When I was young, I was walking around Tunxi Old Street every day, where I passed by every day
Unexpectedly, there is a museum in Laojie Laojie. I accidentally discovered that when visiting the Laojie, the facade is small and no ticket is required. You can swipe your ID card to enter. It mainly displays the history and culture of Laojie and Tunxi, especially the uniqueness of Laojie Culture. There are many cultural relics from various dynasties in the local area. In the Republic of China, these currencies were issued, which is quite interesting. Although small, it also adds some cultural knowledge to people who come to Lao Cai.
The Tunxi Museum is on the Tunxi Old Street, a certain distance away from the Huangshan Scenic Area. This is a free-to-visit attraction, as long as you register your ID card, the museum can be viewed in less than 15 minutes
According to the introduction of the Laojie Museum, during the Daoguang Period of the Qing Dynasty, the "Five Ports of Commerce" provided Huizhou merchants with new business opportunities. The export of Tunxi green tea increased sharply and the Laojie tea trade was unprecedentedly prosperous. During the period of the Republic of China, Tunxi became an important town in southern Anhui, and the business of Laojie became more frequent with the outside world. After the founding of the People’s Republic of China, the old street has better preserved its original features. After the reform and opening up, the old street has seen prosperity.
