About Huguan: Huguan is located in southeast Shanxi and is under the administration of Changzhi City, Shanxi. The name Huguan means “Kettle Pass.” The county got this name because its county seat is surrounded by Baigu (“Hundred Valleys”) Mountain in the north and Shuanglong (“Two Dragons”) Mountain in the south, with a space in between. The contour of the mountains gives the appearance of a kettle with a pass as its mouth. The Taihang Mountain Grand Canyon Natural Scenic Area offers supreme beautiful natural surroundings, unique for their natural majesty, strangeness, steepness, and remoteness. Huguan also offers attractions like the impressive stone carvings of the scenic Wanfo (“Ten Thousand Buddhas”) Temple, ancient tombs, and an ancient memorial gateway.
