Deji Gate Site

Dejimen is the site of Dejimen in ancient Quanzhou from Song and Yuan to Qing Dynasty. Dejimen is located 40 meters opposite the main gate of Tianhou Palace in Licheng District. It is buried underground, about 3 meters from the ground, and has a base stone structure. The total area of the site is about 2,500 square meters, divided into the city gate, the city wall base site and the moon city gate, the city gate base site, the structure is complete, magnificent; there is also a moat through the Deji Gate to the outside. There is also a river bridge called the "City Bridge" on the top of the passage.

Dejimen site, located in Tianhou Road, Licheng District, Quanzhou City, Fujian Province, near the Tianhou Palace, was built in the Southern Song Dynasty (1230 AD). The remaining Chengmen building plane is polygonal, covering an area of 2,000 square meters, consisting of Chengmen city walls, gate piers, internal and external trenches, arch bridges and Licheng, Chengmen, etc. There are stone carvings of Hinduism, Christianity, Islamic Buddhism in the 1st century and iron guns in the 2nd century (Ming Dynasty, Qing Dynasty), etc., which are the only ancient gate site preserved in Quanzhou and cleared by scientific archaeology, and are the symbol of the ancient hedgehog city in the Song and Yuan Dynasty.

The site of Dejimen is located on Tianhou Road, Licheng District, Quanzhou City, Fujian Province, directly opposite the Temple of the Tianhou. It was built in the Southern Song Dynasty (1230 AD). It was called the south gate of the town. It was renamed Dejimen in the 12 years from Yuan to Zheng (1352 AD). The remaining city gate building is polygonal, and the site area is 2000 square meters. It consists of city gate walls, gateway piers, trenches, arch bridges and city walls. It remains the only ancient city in Quanzhou that has been preserved and cleaned up by scientific archaeology. The gate site, the symbol of the ancient hedgehog city in the Song and Yuan Dynasty, is a national cultural and environmental protection unit.
