About Huixian: Huixian is located in northern Henan province on the border with Shanxi province, in between the Taihang Mountains and the Yellow River. Popular attractions include Baiquan Lake, which is located at the bottom of Mount Sumen. There is also a complex of Qing dynasty buildings that have now been converted into a temple. Since the 1990s, much of the area's ancient architecture has been demolished to make way for new buildings, but some towns and villages still contain a number of well-preserved Ming and Qing dynasty buildings.
