It's essentially "rock flour" that catches sunlight and makes the water appear brilliantly blue. Travel tip: This lake is only open for 5 months in the summer!

Valley of the ten peaks Lake Moraine is one of the most beautiful places in the world, but be warned, don't go in the water it's glacier run off and freezing cold it use be the picture on the back of the twenty dollar bill

Moraine Lake is very easy to get to. Seeing the lake doesn't require any hiking unless you want to get to a higher vantage point. Then there are several logs to cross and big rock pile to climb up.
