Moraine Lake is a glacial lake in Banff National Park, 14 kilometers from Lake Louis. Located at the foot of Shifeng Mountain, it is 1884 meters above sea level and covers an area of 0.5 square kilometers. Because Menglian Lake is a glacial lake, only by the end of June every year the lake has the largest amount of water, refracting sedimentary rock powder, showing a beautiful blue-green. Monglian Lake is recognized as the most photographic Lake in the world. The lake is gemstone blue and crystal clear, surrounded by jagged valleys, like a gem. This "national treasure" is printed on the Canadian 20 yuan note. If you wander through Menglian Lake in a canoe, the water is green and the lake is quiet. Looking around the mountains, you can see the reflection of the lake like a mirror, and the scenery is picturesque. Like Menglian Lake, which reflects each other with a mirror and Shifeng Mountain, it is also reflected on the lake, with snow-capped mountains and needle-like jungle. It is more beautiful against the beautiful scenery of Menglian Lake. The last six pictures were taken by the author at 4:30 a.m.
Lake Moran, surrounded by ten peaks, contrasts with the blue sky and the beautiful scenery of snow. It is even used as a pattern of $20 banknotes. Here you can take a boat tour of the lake. Rock deposits at the end of the lake form the natural Bank of the lake, which is the origin of the name of Lake Moran. (Moraine means "ice slug"). But in fact, the rocks were just landslides on the south bank that were transported by glaciers, not real ice slumps. Standing on these rocks, the view is spectacular.
Monglian Lake is my favorite lake on this trip. It's not far from Lake Louis, but it's often closed because there are too many people and parking spaces on the mountain are limited. But there's a free shuttle bus in front of the Fairmont Hotel in Lake Louis. You can pick up dozens of Canadian dollars an hour to pay for it. The best angle of Monglian Lake is to climb a stone mountain and take pictures of the most beautiful and not dangerous. The wild road slightly twists around the regular hiking routes to get there safely first.
Monglian Lake has been rated as the first lake in Banff Park by tourists many times. The area of Menglian Lake is large, and the opposite side of the lake is the snow mountain. Visitors can walk near the lake to enjoy the lake water, or climb a mountain to appreciate the color of the lake water from a high place.
Monglian Lake is a very beautiful glacier melting snow lake. The scenery is very beautiful. When the sun shines on the lake in the morning, the precious blue water of the lake floods with golden light. It is really unforgettable. Sometimes there is a mist on the lake. It feels like a fairyland. It's really worth it.
It's also called Menglian Lake. In fact, the name is more poetic. The lake is blue and blue. Maybe it was cloudy when we went in the afternoon. It is estimated that the color of the lake would be more beautiful under the sun. The parking lot is very limited. Do you want to wait in line to see your luck?
The lake is quiet and beautiful. The green peaks and snow mountains are reflected on the lake, forming an aesthetic picture. Especially when the maple leaves turn yellow and red slowly, it is like a colorful world. You can go boating on the lake, or sit by the lake and enjoy your lunch slowly. What's more, you can stay in a hotel or two by the lake for one or two nights.
