DanaI live in Nagoya, and I always go back to Nagoya Castle whenever I feel like to. Spring is the best time to go to Nagoya Castle. There are a lot of Cherry Blossoms around the area. The castle and the Cherry Blossom absolutely look mesmerizing in the pictures. Most importantly, Food Stalls inside sell a Cherry Blossom ice cream for ¥300. Winter in Nagoya Castle is not that scenic, though, the beauty of the castle will always be high level. Been there again last December 2019. During that time, the ice cream flavors for sale inside the castle were Berries and Green Tea. Entrance fee is still ¥500, and an additional ¥500 if you go inside the main castle tower. Unfortunately, the main castle tower is closed currently because it was damaged from the recent earthquake.

According to legend, it was built in the 3rd century by the concubine Yanyuan, who was built by Japanese Wuzun, to enshrine the grass pheasant sword used by the Japanese. Regarding the grass pheasant sword, there are many records in Japanese history books and myths, and it is a god in the hearts of Japanese people. The main hall of Atsuta Shrine enshrines Wuzun, Gong Yuyuan, and the five gods of Amaterasu, Suzhan Mingzun, and Kandaomei. DanaI always pass by this piece of architectural art everytime I go to Sakae. The Nagoya TV Tower may no longer be accepting visitors recently, but it will never stop awing people with its beauty. It looks look Paris's Eiffel Tower in one glance. It is best to see it at night when it is all lit up. Unfortunately, recently, the local government of Nagoya has stopped lighting up the tower. I don't know the reason why, but yes, they did that. The tower is located inside Hisaya Odori Park and is readily accessible via all types of public and private transportation.

DanaŌsu Kannon Temple is one of my favorite places in Nagoya. Other It is such a popular temple in the city that many people visit it during holidays. They also have a lot of Doves flying around, and people can choose to feed them. During holidays and local festivals, the temple grounds usually have Food Stalls lining up. Foods in these food stalls are quite affordable. The best thing about visiting Ōsu Kannon is the fact that the Ōsu Kannon shopping district is just right next to it. So basically, you can go shopping right after you marvel at the beauty of the temple. How convenient is that?
