Inuyama a must visit area in Nagoya!
#nagoyatrip Planning your trip to Japan in coming May? Do make Inuyama on your list as it is one of only twelve " "}original castles" "} left in Japan. Nagoya has got many ancient castles and this is definitely one you got visit!
Area around Inuyama is filled with old Japanese culture and not to forgot the delicious food street! The shrine at the bottom area of Inuyama has got many Tori gates that you can take similar photo as that you would get in Kyoto!
From the top of the castle you get to see the Kiso River! This amazing view is defining! What’s more is that every summer, the thousand years practice of Ukai Cormorant Fishing will be performed here and do put it on your list!
From Inuyama Station and walk about 15 minutes along Kiso River path you’ll get to Inuyama! #Nagoya #Japan #Inuyama ##Castle ##Ancient ##Culture

Inuyama Castle
#thingstodo Nice place to stop en route Kyoto. There is a shrine at the entrance, and the castle is right behind on a small hill. My first visit to a Japanese castle, very unique. The stair case inside the castle is very steep to reach every floor and I wonder how folks back then climbed up/down 🥲 Gorgeous view from the 3rd floor of the town around.
There is a post town type Street opposite the castle.. To shop, drink and rent a kimono or just take photos. Nice place!
Inuyama Castle at Nagoya
#fallishere
Inuyama Castle is located about an hour away from Nagoya and in the castle town, visitors can enjoy eating out, renting kimonos, and going down the river on a sightseeing boat.
Note that the steps within the castle are very steep and not suitable for people with bad knees or legs. There are no handicap options at all.
Uphill slope from bottom area to main entrance is also moderately difficult with cobbles stones steps and path.
The view from the top is breathtaking though. You can see the Kiso River, the city of Inuyama & mountains.

Hotel Indigo Inuyama Urakuen Garden, an IHG H
#japantrip
Finally a Great IHG indigo property which is rare in Japan rather than those 1980s Crowne Plazas.
Fantastic room and garden as well as Onsen.
Great recognition of my Diamond elite.
Staffs are super friendly, just that the standard of English needs to be improved.Restaurant is offering decent semi-buffet.I would preferred them to offer kaiseiki style set menu instead.overall awesome

One of the best Hotel Indigo hotels in the world for sure. Rooms and reception were beautiful with great views of Inuyama Castle, garden and the river. Staff were so polite and welcoming. Onsen and gym were very modern with great equipment. The moment you walk in it is a chilled and relaxing place to be. Photos do not do it justice, highly recommended.overall it awesome

#hotelreview
A very luxury, modern, nice room. One of the top three in Nagoya. The location is not in the heart of city center, but you can easily to access if u ride with a car.
The hotel has a rule they don't allow guest to wear japanese kimono (they provided) walk to the lobby area, we got warned in the afternoon. But we still saw people wear the kimono and seated in the bar at the lobby. It's double standard. And another thing their service has some problem is when we check in, everything just very smooth.overall this hotel awesome
Little World Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in Apr)
Little World in Nagoya
#nagoyatrip A good place for day out with loving ones.
Pets also allowed. There are various kinds of restaurants of various countries. As long as its name Little world, you can see only few countries here. I think they missed some world famous civilizations and countries.
However, you can enjoy taking pictures around the area.
Some places are just like a park and gardens but it’s nicely built place. Houses of various countries are made in a planned way. Very informative with respective design and native touch/feel.
The
Field Small World of Museum of Ethnology features 33 folk houses from 22 countries around the world and more than 40,000 folklore materials. All the display houses in the theme park were restored after the construction. There are also houses in various places, and they can experience the national customs. You can wear national costumes of various countries. We have experienced the kimonos of Okinawa and the costumes of Europe. Friends who like to collect seal patterns, don't forget to buy a "passport book" at the entrance, so that you can stamp when you pass through the museum. It is best to buy a bus ticket to play in the park, so it will save time when sightseeing.
Japan Monkey Park Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in Apr)
Japan Monkey Park
#thingstodo Many rides here are of types where kids can enjoy . No waiting time so we can enjoy as many rides as possible in a small time. We have option of taking either one day pass or entry ticket and ride tickets separately. It is better to buy one day pass for kids and normal entry pass for adults. But if you have kids younger than 6 years then one adult can buy a day pass. There is also play area inside and a maze park as well .
My first ever trip to Japan and I had the opportunity to experience feeding these red little monkeys. Super cute and intelligent, they’d usually wait for tourists to offer them food and hardly snatched anything that wasn’t meant for them.
This was located at either Osaka or Kyoto… can’t really recall for now but will definitely pin the exact location later on when searching!!! #urbanexplorer #summervacation #japan

Museum Meiji-Mura Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in Apr)
Educational Cultural Museum
#nagoyatrip Be sure to schedule a full day to enjoy what this place has to offer. Bring snacks too - while there are cafes and vending machines throughout the area, it'll be easier to relax and secure your seat since there are a lot of people exploring. Especially during the weekends!
I suggest to start off with the farthest site- Frank Lloyd Wright's work on the Imperial Hotel. There's a cafe inside and lots of areas to explore. From there, one can spend about 10-12p minutes per site - some would have informative tours so keep your eyes peeled for their schedules!
This place isn't that friendly for wheelchair access - the toilets are far too narrow but at least they are spread along the area for people to be comfortable.
Some sites are properly cared for while some have been haphazardly painted for aesthetic reasons. Still, enjoy exploring the sites authentic place ha s a lot to offer.

Meiji-mura (博物館明治村, Hakubutsukan Meiji-mura, "Meiji Village Museum") is an open-air architectural museum/theme park in Inuyama, near Nagoya in Aichi prefecture, Japan. It was opened on March 18, 1965. The museum preserves historic buildings from Japan's Meiji (1867–1912), Taisho (1912–1926), and early Shōwa (1926–1989) periods. Over 60 historical buildings have been moved and reconstructed onto 1 square kilometre (250 acres) of rolling hills alongside Lake Iruka. The most noteworthy building there is the reconstructed main entrance and lobby of Frank Lloyd Wright's landmark Imperial Hotel, which originally stood in Tokyo from 1923 to 1967, when the main structure was demolished to make way for a new, larger version of the hotel.
