It's really good, it's worth a visit. The whole Lijiang is a place with a lot of cultural heritage. This Beiyue Temple is even more enjoyable.
Nature is so beautiful, let me linger, this is the highest level of the creation of heaven. Deeply attracted by the culture revealed therein. Ancient and quaint residential buildings have their unique temperament.
Beiyue Temple, called Sanduo Pavilion here, is dedicated to the Naxi gods. There are 1,200-year-old trees in the temple. The courtyard is deep and the Buddha's face is radiant. The incarnation of the "Three Gods", it is said that the locals first came here to worship the Three Gods during the New Year, and then went to the Yufeng Temple to pray.
Beiyue Temple has undergone nine reconstructions and expansions and enshrines the Naxi God of War "Sanduo God"
The overall architecture of Beiyue Temple is extremely beautiful. In particular, the main hall, the Hall of Dening, is currently the largest hall of the Yuan Dynasty in the country and is very impressive. However, the murals in the main hall are under repair, so I don’t have to look at it. It’s a pity that it is said that Wu Daozi painted it. The museum in the temple is also very good, the sound and light are well arranged! Very worth seeing!
Also known as Sanduo Pavilion, it is located in Yulong Village under the Yulong Snow Mountain. Beiyue Temple is the most important temple. It enshrines the biggest guardian god of the Naxi tribe, the God of Sanduo. It was built in the Tang Dynasty and is the earliest temple in Lijiang. There have been at least nine major expansions and renovations. In the Tang Dynasty, Nanzhao was founded, and Yulong Snow Mountain was named Beiyue, and Sanduo Pavilion was renamed Beiyue Temple.
