The Wenchang Pavilion in Jiayuguan is adjacent to Guandi Temple. Like other ancient cities, the Confucian Temple and the Martial Temple are complete. This two-story attic is not very large. It is located on the east side of the city and faces the Central Plains. It is a symbol of civilization and enlightenment.
It is said that Zuo Zongtang built it. Literati have sentiments. Later, it was used as some clerks, for example, similar to the current clerks. It’s nothing good, it’s just a small attic. I guess there is one in the old county.
Wenchang Pavilion was built in the Ming Dynasty and rebuilt in the second year of Daoguang in the Qing Dynasty (1822). The pavilion is a two-story, two-eave Xieshan top building, with single-room shops on both sides of the ground floor, and 18 red lacquered pillars around it to form a corridor. The inside is an official hall with three rooms wide and two rooms deep. There are lattice doors and windows on all sides, and more than 80 landscape paintings are painted on the upper part. In the Ming and Qing Dynasties, this pavilion served as a place for literati and guest to meet friends, recite poetry, paint, and read. By the end of the Qing Dynasty, it became a place for civil officials.
Wenquxing is enshrined in Wenchang Pavilion, in charge of the fame and fortune of the place. In the Ming Dynasty, this place was a place where dignitaries and dignitaries studied. In Qing Dynasty, it became a school for the children of dignitaries and dignitaries. Later, it became a place for dignitaries and dignitaries to drink tea. The original building has long been destroyed, and the current building is built as it is.
In fact, our tourists walked into the Jiayuguan Scenic Area and came from behind. When they came to the front, it was the last barrier of Jiayuguan. Therefore, Wenchang Pavilion was too flat compared with the towers of Jiayuguan.
