For hundreds of years, the clock tower has been in disrepair, the clock tower has collapsed before the founding of the country, the stone on the base of the platform is broken, and the trees are overgrown. Now, the bell has been moved to Nanfeng-Mingchang Bell Pavilion. In October 2008, archaeologists in Jinan City cleaned up the ruins of the Bell Tower. The southern part of the base is well preserved, and only the road and pillar bases are left on the top of the base; on the top of the base, they found the stele at that time, the stele length is about 1.15 meters, and the width is about 0.64 meters. In the cleaning of the surroundings of the platform, the porcelain covers, porcelain bowls, porcelain cups, tiles and other porcelain remnants of the Ming and Qing generations were unearthed; in the north of the platform, they also found the bell tower ladder, the existing length is about 8.8 meters, the width is about 1.6 meters, and the height is about 4.4 meters, built from bluestone. The Bell Tower Taiji Site is a rare Ming Dynasty building in Jinan City. As an important part of the old city, the site has its unique historical value and cultural relics value. After the expansion of Daming Lake, this is an important part of the new attraction of Daming Lake "Minghu Chenzhong".
