Jingdezhen is so worth visiting! 24H Special Forces edition with strategy guide
Self-drive Special Forces one-day tour mode, so the itinerary is quite full. Jingdezhen is a slow-paced city, if you have enough time, you can slow down to two days and one night or longer.

🗺️ Itinerary summary: China Ceramic Museum▶️Fuzhou Nong▶️Taoyangli Scenic Area▶️Sanbao Village
-
1️⃣9:00-10:00 China Ceramic Museum
🕣: 9:00-16:30, closed on Mondays
🎫: 🆓 (You must book in advance on 🍊!!!)
A must-visit spot in Jingdezhen, the museum houses over 50,000 cultural relics, including the recently famous 'Silent Buddha' 💧. When it's crowded, you need to queue separately, and the exhibits are all very exquisite, worthy of the title 'Porcelain Capital'! It's recommended to come early, otherwise it's too crowded.
-
🚗4 kilometers
-
2️⃣10:20-10:50 Fuzhou Nong
A great place for breakfast, the alley is small, but it's all delicious food along the way. My friends tried Fangfang's boiled food and fried dough sticks wrapped in glutinous rice, both were good. I had beef offal noodles🍜, chosen randomly from a small shop, the soup base was quite fresh, and Tanpo's dumplings were also not bad.
-
🚶🏽500 meters
-
3️⃣11:00-13:00 Taoyangli Scenic Area
🕣: 8:30-22:30
🎫: 53 (Book and purchase on 🍊, half price for the elderly and children, free for Jingdezhen citizens)
Equivalent to a historical and cultural resort area, covering 108 ancient alleys that have been around for a thousand years, including the famous Imperial Kiln Museum, Longzhu Pavilion, etc. There are also homestays, coffee shops, ceramic workshops, restaurants, 🍺 bars, etc. You could stroll around for a whole day, but we only had two hours due to our tight schedule, and it was still fulfilling.
-
🚗4 kilometers
-
4️⃣13:30-15:30 Taoxi Chuan Cultural and Creative District
🎫: 🆓, no reservation needed
An artistic district, the shops inside are more literary. There is a market from Friday to Sunday, with many artists setting up stalls, each stall is as exquisite as an exhibition, and because many are original handmade products🍶, the prices are higher than ordinary porcelain factories. If you find something you like, be sure to bargain! My friend liked a set of cups, and bargained from 360 down to 280! PS: There is an art gallery inside, 🎫40, worth visiting if interested.
-
🚗6 kilometers
-
5️⃣16:30-19:00 Sanbao Village
It's quite far from the city center, surrounded by green mountains⛰️, perfect for photography, and also a gathering place for artistic souls. There are many hidden gem shops, such as 9494 Aesthetic Space, and the meals are mostly exquisite. However, there is some controversy over Sanbao Village, because it's too 'Instagrammable', it's very crowded, leading to hours of queuing at some shops. Plus, the attractions are quite scattered and not very suitable for walking, so the overall experience might not be very good. Additionally, you can rent electric scooters🛵 at the entrance of the village.

Jingdezhen is very suitable for sightseeing and photography! Do you need a two-day travel guide and accommodation suggestions?
I really like Jingdezhen! It truly deserves the title of Porcelain Capital!
Jingdezhen Two-Day Tour📷 Per Capita💰900-1k
Day1
📍Imperial Kiln Museum—Taoyangli Imperial Kiln Scenic Area
There are many alleys, small shops, and courtyards that are great to explore
Mostly ceramic families from generation to generation, people are very simple
Also met a shop owner there, went to play with a lot of clay for 💰100
(100 includes kneading clay, coloring, firing, and shipping home)
📍Fuzhou Alley - Youtiao wrapped in glutinous rice cake
Very delicious!!! 5r for a small portion (I personally think so)
📍Mandao Glass Art Space
Glassblowing is super fun! It's very fulfilling and the lady teaching is very patient! You need to focus while playing, be careful not to get burned
📍Taoxi Chuan Market
Very nice to stroll around, everything is so cute and beautiful, but a small cup is 188, want to buy but can't just buy one, can't afford a set 🥹 The only affordable things are fridge magnets and ornaments, but the sculpture porcelain factory has very cheap identical ones, you have to find them yourself
📍Lao She Teahouse
The milk tea in the video for photo taking, tastes standard 💰38
Day2
📍Bluepai Coffee
The coffee shop is very beautiful for photos, full of trendy men and women
Blue and white porcelain coffee 💰38 a cup
Croissant 💰9 but very small, however, the taste is not bad
📍Sculpture Porcelain Factory
There are bracelets and ornaments for ten yuan for three
And there are many cute little shops, those kind of shops with very nice owners, even if you don't buy anything, they will patiently introduce their creative ideas and so on
📍Lotte Market
Now requires an admission ticket 💰30, not recommended to go, we didn't go
Because the items inside are likely to cost hundreds
It's said to be even more expensive than Taoxi Chuan Market
📍Yaoli Ancient Town
Jay Chou's 'Blue and Green' was written about this place
Feels like a small village without much commercial atmosphere
Small bridges and flowing water are quite beautiful
📍Xinping Porcelain Palace
It's a porcelain palace built by an old lady over her lifetime
Very beautiful for photos, ticket 🎫25 (free for those over 65
🍚Eating
📍Home Cooking
There are many branches in Jiangxi, standard fare
📍Little Yellow Fish
Ordered takeout, chicken feet feel very spicy
📍Wuji Beef Bone Noodles
Beef bone noodles 💰19, quite delicious
Cold noodles 💰8, feels spicier the more you eat
🚗Transportation
You can take a taxi within Jingdezhen city
Yaoli, Hanxi Village, Xinping Porcelain Palace are on the same route
All are quite far, taxis start at 300, and it's not easy to get a taxi in Yaoli Ancient Town in the evening, it's best to charter a car
1-2 people 💰110/person, you can ask the driver to carpool
3-4 people can choose to charter a car 💰380-400, each driver charges differently (I've seen charter drivers who can help take photos, and they take very good ones! This industry is so competitive now!) Just choose what you need
🏨Accommodation
Stay near Taoxi Chuan or Imperial Kiln Museum
There are many hotels with an average price of 💰sixty to seventy per night
COHEN SHARP
The evening in Jingdezhen is an aesthetic ceiling
Special forces complete three itineraries in half a day🏃🏻♀️
1️⃣ Sculpture Porcelain Factory. So many interesting stalls and cute trinkets! It's just a whole lot of dazzling and overwhelming sights, each alley leads to its own unique world, only regretting that there's too little time to explore everything. Burned a glass butterfly ring🦋, it was difficult but I love it.
2️⃣ Taoxi Chuan. Rushed to Taoxi Chuan night market at five o'clock, compared to the Sculpture Porcelain Factory the items here are even more exquisite and unique, truly a paradise for handicraft enthusiasts, taking photos at the iconic landmark building is super photogenic!
3️⃣ Imperial Kiln Museum. After dinner at Ouji, it was almost nine o'clock, and I was so tired that I couldn't even stand up straight, hesitated for a long time whether to go or not, but in the end, I didn't want to have regrets. Caught the last bus at 9:30 to enter the museum for free, luckily the security wasn't in a hurry to drive people out, took my time to stroll and then went outside to take photos and check in, there were really a lot of people, only managed to snap away during the brief moments of emptiness, have to say the night indeed has a more atmospheric feel, happily collected a bunch of photos🥰

Jingdezhen Ceramics Museum Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in Apr)
Jingdezhen—the China Ceramic Museum is amazing
Although opinions on this travel destination vary online, I still think Jingdezhen is worth a visit.
We checked in very slowly at Jingdezhen's kiln factories, Taoxi River, and several museums.
🌊 All these photos are from the Imperial Kiln Museum.
Quiet, mysterious, stunning, and broken are the first impressions.
After nightfall, we experienced the museum when it was empty, with only the crisp sound of the camera shutter and soft footsteps, leaving everything else to the eyes.
We wanted to see the Imperial Kiln under the blue sky, so we came back the next morning. This time we walked into the alleys to feel the ancient kiln ruins; we climbed the high walls to see the groups of green tiles.
•
🖍️ In 2020, this place was rated the second most beautiful museum in the world, and in 2021, it won the architecture Oscar award.
🖍️ The exhibition hall uses the arch shape of the kiln as a design element, and also has the smooth streamline of porcelain. Eight double-curved arch structures are connected in a scattered way, which is amazing both from a distance and up close.
🖍️ As a former royal kiln factory, the quality control here can be described as one in ten thousand, so if it doesn't meet the standard, it's directly smashed in the Imperial Kiln and buried deep underground.
🖍️ Therefore, the design concept of 'Imperial Broken Pieces' is ingenious. Most of the exhibits are related to fragments, and the traces of restoration give them a unique beauty of being broken.
•
📌Tips:
1. Open 24 hours but generally until 9 PM
2. Book in advance for free
3. The light is the softest before 9 AM and after 4 PM
4. The alleys around, Pengjia Shangnong, are transformed from old kiln workers' dormitories and are worth exploring.
In the outer wall of the alley, I saw a sentence that made me feel a lot of emotions.
The ancient town has a thousand years of history, this is, the last home of ancient potters.

Knocking on the life of ceramics, we listen: China, China; China, porcelain
Wake up at 8:00, saw a breakfast shop with a long queue opposite the hotel, so I also queued up, but I don't think the soup dumplings were worth such a long wait. After eating, drove to the China Ceramics Museum, had an appointment to visit from 10:00-11:00. There was no tour guide, so I just skimmed through, the 'Net Red Silent Buddha' had many people lining up to take photos with it. Visited for about 40 minutes, then drove off to end the National Day trip. Jingdezhen China Ceramic Museum

Jingdezhen, the Porcelain Capital of China
Day One:
Morning: Depart for Jingdezhen. Upon arrival, head to the Ancient Kiln Folk Customs Expo Area, which concentrates the thousand-year history of porcelain making in Jingdezhen and is hailed as a 'living ceramic museum'.
Afternoon: Visit the Jingdezhen China Ceramic Museum. As a national first-class museum, it is one of the few professional ceramic museums in the country, housing a collection of ceramic treasures from the Han and Tang dynasties to modern and contemporary Jingdezhen ceramics.
Evening: Watch the large-scale live performance 'china' in Jingdezhen, Jiangxi, China. The show is structured around five historical periods: Tang, Song, Yuan, Ming, and Qing. It explores the unique connotations of the Porcelain Capital through the themes of 'ceramic' meaning, rhyme, people, and nation, delving into the relationship between Jingdezhen's ceramic culture and Chinese and world cultures.
Day Two:
Morning: Proceed to the Taoyangli Imperial Kiln Scenic Area in Jingdezhen, known as the 'pearl on the crown of the porcelain country', which was the site for making royal porcelain during the Ming and Qing dynasties, representing the pinnacle of ancient Chinese ceramic artistry. In the scenic area, you can visit the Imperial Kiln Factory ruins, the Imperial Kiln Museum, and the surrounding historical and cultural relics such as neighborhood dwellings, guild halls, kiln communities, and ceramic industrial heritage.
Afternoon: Head to Jingdezhen International Ceramic Fair City, which is not only the permanent venue for the ceramic fair but also a new type of professional ceramic trading market. The above itinerary can be adjusted according to personal interests and time. During the trip, remember to pay attention to safety, respect local culture and customs, and enjoy the beauty of the journey.

Jiangxi hides a small and niche thousand-year-old ancient town, which not only has the charm of Jiangnan, but also allows free entry.
Jiangxi is a place full of poetic and picturesque scenery. The local tourism resources are very rich, including the famous Lushan Mountain with its unique and beautiful scenery, Wugong Mountain, a holy land for hiking with stunning views of the sea of clouds, Sanqing Mountain, like a Chinese ink painting, and Huangling, the most beautiful village in China. Many scenic spots are worth visiting, and there are also some overlooked niche travel destinations with their own unique charm. Today, let's take a look at a lesser-known thousand-year-old ancient town in Jiangxi, which retains the original Jiangnan style and is free of charge. It is worth a visit.
This ancient town is Yao Li Ancient Town, located in the eastern part of Fuliang County, Jingdezhen City, Jiangxi Province, at the junction of Qimen, Xiuning, Wuyuan, and Fuliang counties. It is 50 kilometers away from the downtown area of Jingdezhen and Fuliang County. It occupies a very advantageous geographical location and has a history of more than two thousand years. It has been a prosperous commercial port since ancient times. Nowadays, the ancient town is rich in Gan-style architecture and tourism resources, and is known as the "origin of porcelain, hometown of tea, and sea of forests".
Yao Li Ancient Town is named after Jingdezhen porcelain kilns and is one of the origins of ceramic handicrafts. It has a history and culture of more than two thousand years. Nowadays, there are many ancient buildings left behind. Walking on the old streets of the ancient town, you can see the traces left by the years. Stepping on the stone road, it feels like traveling back in time. Wearing ancient costumes to take photos is very picturesque. Not only that, it is also a red relic. Comrade Chen Yi lived here and guided the reorganization work of the New Fourth Army, known as the "Yao Li Reorganization". Now an exhibition hall has been established, which is a red education base for accepting the enlightenment of revolutionary ideology and carrying out revolutionary traditional learning.
Yao Li ancient town is full of exotic Jiangnan style, and the scenery here is intoxicating. We can enjoy steep mountains, green streams, and simple villages. In the ancient town, there are various delicious foods and authentic Jiangxi specialties. Whether you taste them locally or give them as gifts, they are all unforgettable. In addition, there is no admission fee to visit Yao Li ancient town, and you can enter and play for free. It is a national four-star scenic spot with complete humanistic landscape, natural scenery, and revolutionary sites, and has high historical and cultural value. The sky is blue, waiting for the misty rain; and I am on my way to Yao Li, an ancient town frozen in time by the years
Life has been busy with work for a while now, but the great landscapes of our motherland are always alluring, and there's always a desire to go out and see these beautiful scenes~
If you're looking for a relaxing trip, consider staying in a quiet town for a few days, watching the sunrise and sunset, as a combination of work and leisure can take you further~
Yao Li, located in Fuliang County, Jiangxi Province, was historically known as 'Yao Li'. It is one of the least commercialized ancient towns, maintaining a rich and simple rural charm.
As early as the mid-Tang Dynasty, there were ceramic workshops here, famous for their porcelain kilns, which gave the town its name. It was not until the beginning of this century that the kilns were relocated and 'Yao Li' was renamed to Yao Li.
If one word had to be used to describe Yao Li, it would be 'comfortable'.
Here, you can temporarily cast aside all worries, wander around to see the vegetation, drink tea, and gaze at the distant scenery.
The clear river reflects the blue sky and white clouds, with ancient dwellings scattered about. It forms a pleasant landscape painting that is refreshing to the eye. You can row a boat along the water, drifting between heaven and earth in Yao Li.
Strolling through the ancient town's cobblestone streets and down the stone steps is like walking into a historical scroll, peaceful and serene. In the lazy afternoon, take a comfortable nap and quietly daydream, letting your mind wander.
Here, there are fewer tourists, so you don't have to worry about too much noise. You can quietly appreciate the Hui-style architecture and the landscape. The ideal trip is one where you don't have to 'count heads'.
Travel is not just about seeing landscapes, but also about the many historical stories. The enhancement of history is the 'ultimate weapon' that touches the soul.
The glorious marks left by the prosperous ceramic industry of ancient times can be found here, where you can travel through time and listen to the town's legendary tales. Even if the splendor is no longer there, it cannot erase the brilliance of the past.
Maintaining a classic rural romantic atmosphere, walking through the fields, feeling the endless cycle of life. In the journey of life, there are no smooth sailings, but we must also bravely move forward.

Additionally, you can rent electric scooters🛵 at the entrance of the village.

Jingdezhen Three-Day Tour
March 1st, 11:45 departure from Shaoxing North Station, transfer in Hangzhou, then arrive in Jingdezhen and check into Taoyi Yingxiang Hotel. Dinner at Xiaolechuan, a 1.2 km walk from the hotel, has a good taste, recommended dishes include stir-fried kidney flowers and codfish tail. After dinner, take a taxi to Taoxi Chuan Cultural and Creative District, which was transformed from the old ceramic factory buildings, retaining a full industrial style. After creative renovation, it has become an area with a rich artistic atmosphere, and there is a market on Friday and Saturday nights.
On the 2nd, after breakfast at the hotel, take a taxi to Lotte Tao Society Creative Market. The creative market requires a 50 yuan ticket and is open until 12 pm on Saturday. If you're not buying high-quality porcelain, it's not recommended to buy a ticket to enter, as there are plenty of stalls and markets on the street that are more suitable for shopping. Lunch was at Xiaomao Lao Mian Soup Dumpling Square Store, where the pork soup dumplings and preserved egg meat cake soup are good. In the afternoon, visit the China Ceramic Museum, where you can queue up to visit the Silent Buddha on the sixth floor. If you don't need a photo with the Silent Buddha, you can skip the queue and take pictures of the Silent Buddha during the gaps. Dinner at Ouji, which feels like the best meal in Jingdezhen, recommended dishes include secret yellow fish, spicy crab legs, ace chicken feet, osmanthus tofu, and water chestnut pearl coconut water. After dinner, visit the Imperial Kiln Museum, which is located in the Taoyangli scenic area. Taoyangli is a paid attraction, but you can visit for free after 8:30 pm, so choose to go to the scenic area after dinner at Longzhu Pavilion. After the time, the main gate automatically opens, and many people queue up to enter. We went straight to the Longzhu Pavilion internet-famous check-in spot, where several check-in spots were queuing for photos. Taoyi Hotel is right next to the Imperial Kiln Museum, but the north gate is not open, so you need to detour one kilometer.
On the 3rd, after breakfast at the hotel, team up to go to China Ceramic City to choose your favorite tea set. Lunch was at Fan's Beef Bone Powder near the hotel, eating fried dough sticks and glutinous rice cakes, beef bone powder, because of time constraints, did not go to Chengxin Fried Dough Stick Shop, did not eat the recommended best fried dough sticks and glutinous rice cakes. We had a three-day and two-night leisure trip, didn't visit distant attractions, Jingdezhen city is not big, just take a taxi in the city area, recommended food includes Ouji Dapaidang, for those who like spicy food Xiaolechuan, and for buying ceramics, China Ceramic City is the place to go.

Strolling through Jingdezhen
A thousand-year-old porcelain capital, a must-visit in this lifetime! Just go when you say it!
🚉Transportation guide:
High-speed train🚄 Hangzhou Fuyang Station to Jingdezhen North, a taxi ride of about 20 minutes to the city center, Didi costs 22 yuan. Most of the scenic spots in the city can be reached by bus, except for Fuliang Porcelain Palace, Hanxi Village, and Yaoli Ancient Town, which are far away and not recommended for bus travel, too time-consuming!
City buses🚌 can get a ride card on Alipay, which makes it very convenient to travel by scanning the code, and Didi is also available!
🏨Hotel environment:
The first night stay at Lefeng Hotel (Taoxi Chuan store), right opposite Taoxi Chuan, very convenient!
The second and third nights stay at Taoyang Li Pear Garden Hotel, the hotel is located in the Taoyang Li cultural and historical district, and it is also convenient to stroll around. Fuzhou Alley, Imperial Kiln Museum, Imperial Kiln Scenic Alley (where you can check in at Zhongshuge) are all nearby. Opposite the hotel is Changjiang and Zhushan Bridge, it's nice to take a walk in the morning or evening!
If you have requirements for dining around, it is recommended to stay near People's Square and Zhejiang Road for convenience.
🍽Dining recommendations:
Ouji's big stall and Going Home for Dinner are worth recommending. Ouji's big stall recommends small yellow fish, chicken feet, crab legs, and tofu pudding! Going Home for Dinner has many branches, the Zhejiang Road store is too popular, we checked in at the Ancient Kiln store which is relatively better!
The 8 Degree Kitchen downstairs of Lefeng Hotel is also good, stir-fried beef and tofu pudding are recommended!
During the period, we also ate at some small shops, but the taste is really not as good as these!
Youtiao (fried dough sticks) and mochi, beef bone powder are recommended at Tangji Beef Bone Powder (near Taoxi Chuan)
🗓Itinerary arrangement:
Arrived in the evening on the first day, stayed at Lefeng Hotel, had dinner at Ouji's big stall, and then visited the night scene of Taoxi Chuan🌃
The next morning, checked in at Tangji Beef Bone Powder for breakfast, then strolled around Taoxi Chuan during the day, took a taxi to Sanbao Village, it is recommended to take a sightseeing car from the service center, or rent an electric car. We took a taxi to the Sanbao Village Museum, then strolled out leisurely, personally I think there is no special meaning except for taking photos and checking in. In the afternoon, checked in at the Ancient Kiln Folklore Expo Area, tickets can be purchased online, and it is still worth a visit! After coming out, take the bus two stops to Going Home for Dinner (Ancient Kiln store) for a meal, not crowded and no need to queue! (Stay at Taoyang Li Pear Garden Hotel)
The next morning, we originally planned to go to the Porcelain Palace, searched online and it was 1 hour by bus, prepared to go before departure, my son searched on his phone and said it would take 2 hours, so after comparing the two phones for a long time, I saw online comments that what I searched was the Imperial Kiln Porcelain Palace, not the Fuliang Xinping Porcelain Palace, so here is a special reminder, to navigate to the Porcelain Palace, search for Xinping Porcelain Palace! Because it was too far, we gave up on the Porcelain Palace and went to the Imperial Street Scenic Alley around the hotel, but because it was too early, there were not many people on the street, and Zhongshuge was not open yet (opens at 10 am). The surrounding area is a bit messy due to demolition and construction.
After strolling, take the bus to the Ceramic Museum, which needs to be booked in advance. When there are few people, it is recommended to book one day in advance, like during the Spring Festival and other holidays, the earlier the better, to avoid not getting a spot. The Ceramic Museum is still worth a visit, and it requires queuing to take photos with the speechless Buddha. Basically, 2 hours is enough!
After lunch, go back to the hotel to rest, and walk to the Imperial Kiln South Gate at 4 pm, the Imperial Kiln Museum needs to be booked in advance (free), but entering the Imperial Kiln Museum requires purchasing a ticket for Taoyang Li. In the evening, you can see both the daytime and nighttime views of the Imperial Kiln, worth a visit, the scenic area is not as big as imagined. After the tour, ordered stir-fried noodles and side dishes at a nearby small shop, the stir-fried noodles were good, but the side dishes were a pitfall!
Finally, I want to say that the overall feeling is okay, the impression of the city: Jingdezhen is a city with a rich cultural and historical heritage, the design of the attractions is good, but the overall construction of the city does not seem to be consistent enough, for example, we saw many old houses in the old city being demolished, shouldn't these be renovated and protected? The sanitary condition on the streets is also not satisfactory. While protecting the relics, it is necessary to plan well for the development of the city!

Ancient Kiln Folklore Expo Area
Beautiful environment, comfortable feeling
You can buy a package ticket on Ctrip, you can experience the ancient method of making bowls (not far from the entrance)
There are also places where you can experience pulling embryos in the ancient kiln, with a variety of choices
I wandered around the Ancient Kiln Folklore Expo Area for half a morning. If there are no other schedules, you can stay for a day, a very quiet place.
Listen to the sound of water, look at the trees, experience the slow-paced life

Jingdezhen Winter Citywalk | 3 days and 2 nights in the ideal world of pottery
I've always been fascinated by this ancient town full of ceramics
Finally took the opportunity to visit during the off-season
Just like the song lyrics
—— Glaze color rendering, white embryo sketching, brush strokes heavy and light
It seems that Jingdezhen is a walking blue and white porcelain
Follow the little sheep's route and take a stroll
