Photos of Jingtai Yellow River Stone Park

Jingtai Yellow River Stone Park is near the Yellow River, southeast Jingtai County, Baiyin City, Gansu Province. It is dominated by a large canyon about 9 kilometers (5.6 miles) long along the Yellow River. There are towering stone forests on both sides of the canyon presenting a very unique landform. The main attraction of the Stone Park is the observation deck at the end of the main grand canyon. In addition to the stone landscape, there is an opportunity to sample many of the local folk customs. The donkey carts in the canyon exemplify these folk customs. Local elderly women lead the donkey carts, often singing northwestern folk songs.
