Jingyang County is located in the lower reaches of the Jing River in central Shaanxi Province and is under the administration of Xianyang City. Jingyang County has a long history and many important cultural sites. Many brilliant people have come from Jingyang: it is the hometown of the famous patriot and calligrapher Yu Youren (1879-1964), scholar Wu Mi (1894-1978), and poet Lei Shuyan (1942-2013). Attractions include the Yang Mausoleum of Han, the Zhangjiashan Scenic Area, and the site of the Zhengguo Canal (built in the 3rd century BCE).
