Photos of Dongshi Ancient Village

Dongshi Ancient Village is located on the west side of Dongshi Township, Jinjiang, close to Longjiang River, echoing the shimmering Kinmen Island in the Taiwan Strait. Facing the East China Sea, it is shaped like a half-moon, so it is nicknamed "the half-moon sinks into the river". Connected to Dongshizhai is Dajue Temple, the holy land of Buddhism. According to "Xishan Magazine", Dongshizhai was originally a Shejiazhai village in central Fujian in the Spring and Autumn Period, and was rebuilt in the first year of the Sui Dynasty (581 AD).
