Huanglong Temple

Huanglong Temple, a famous temple in southern Zhejiang. Legend has it that at the end of the Tang Dynasty, Deqing, Huzhou, Shiliang, and at the beginning of Longji (889), with military merits, Qian Ru, King of Wuyue, appointed the governor of the state. At that time, Suichang Luyue had already occupied Chuzhou with troops, and he solidly led his sons, Yueli, Yuequan, Yueyan, etc. to garrison Jinyun, recruited righteous soldiers, and established a village far away from Huanglong Mountain. Shi solid was a good Buddha, and in the third year of Qianning (896), Huanglong Temple was built in the mountains. In March of the fourth year of Tianku (907), King Qian Rong of Wuyue sent his sons Chuanquan, Chuancan, Chuancui and Shi solid to capture Wenzhou together. In May, Chuzhou was defeated, and Lu Yue was defeated in chaos. Soon Shi solid resigned and settled down near Qingtang at the foot of Huanglong Mountain. According to legend, on the night of his immortal travels, he once dreamed of his three sons, saying, "The emperor will reward me for meritorious deeds. He will give him a gold and purple light, and he will give him the protector of the five capitals." The temple is the guardian court. In the Song Dynasty, Zhao Ruiyou said in a poem: "As soon as Huanglong arrives, you will be worried about the ashes, and the glory will be better than the joy. The bright moon is left unattended, and the moss is given to the vertical and horizontal stones."
