Photos of Longchang Temple

Longchang Temple, located on Baohua Mountain, was founded in the first year of Liang Tian in the Southern dynasty, the founder being the archetypal monk of Ji Gong. Currently a large preaching center in China, its fame derives from its three-altar precepts. Entering the gate and turning right to the courtyard, you can see in the south the Dabei Tower, the interior of which has painted murals. In the north there is the Daxiong Hall, next to the Dharma. It is said that Qianlong Emperor once sat at the indoor chair for the abbot during his south tour. Turning left after entering the gate, you can see in the east side a room that has a pot claimed to be able to feed five thousand people, built during Guang Xu Emperor time in the Qing dynasty. The north side of the room has a white jade initiating table, also the essence of the temple. Since the Qing Dynasty, there have been tens of thousands of monks initiated here.
