Sakurajima is located in Kagoshima Prefecture, Kyushu, Japan. It is the symbol of Kagoshima. It is an active volcano, and its volcanic activity is still very active. Sakurajima is made up of Beiyue, Zhongyue and Nanyue. Geographically located in Kagoshima Bay, it faces Kagoshima Bay in the west, south and north, connects with Osumi Peninsula in the east, and is separated by Kagoshima Bay in the west, about four kilometers away from the urban area of Kagoshima City, and is connected with Kagoshima City. There is a Sakurajima ferry between the urban areas.
