Baozhusi (South Gate)

Kaifeng Baozhu Temple is not large in scale, not small in fame, it is a nun temple, no tickets. In the small alley not far from the south gate of Longting Park, it is more difficult to find. Most people go by tricycle, and the incense is a bit strong.

There are not many pilgrims in this temple, but it is very quiet and very suitable for self-cultivation.

Kaifeng Baozhu Temple is located in the north of Xitou Road, Donghuamen Street, Kaifeng City. Baozhu Temple sits north to south, for the three-in-two-way courtyard, the ancient architecture of the moths and the corners, showing the construction style of Song and Qing combinations. The central axis is the Temple of the Tenno, which is dedicated to Maitreya Bodhisattva, Weibodhisattva and the four kings. The east and west sides are close to the clock and the second floor of the drum. The Grand Hyatt House is located in the middle of the front yard, dedicated to Huayan Sansheng and Guanyin Island. The middle of the backyard is Puzhao Building, and the upper floor is the Tibetan Jing Pavilion. It is dedicated to a statue of the Burmese jade sculpture and a piece of the "China Tibetan Jing" given by the Taiwan Buddha Foundation. Baozhu Temple was formerly founded by the contemporary 100-year-old monk Jingyan Master (formerly executive director of the China Buddhist Association, president of the Henan Buddhist Association, member of the Henan CPPCC, and the Kaifeng CPPCC Standing Committee). In 1924, Jing Gong was ordered to carry forward the Buddha's law in Central Plains, and after the law of Master Ci, he founded the Henan Buddhist Society's daughter Zhonglin in Kaifeng, and Master Ciyun Guangyan. Now there are more than ten nuns in the temple, all of which are of junior high school and above cultural level, and they are religious. All nuns follow the statute of living together in the jungle. In the morning and evening, the hall, at 2 o'clock, half a moon Busa, with the commandment as a teacher, and the joint living, the order is in order, the Buddhist activities, like law. In the quiet and elegant monastery, cigarettes linger, the sound of the Vatican bells, the solemn and clean atmosphere, it makes people feel extraordinary. Buddhist believers, pilgrims, tourists are endless, and converts are increasing. Baozhu Temple is indeed a pure land in the city, and a treasure bead in the ancient capital Kaifeng City.
