Nanwu Temple is a well-known temple in Kangding. Its Tibetan name is Namu Temple. It is located in Nanwu Village, 2.5 kilometers south of Kangding City. It is known as the "Double Temple Cloud Forest" together with the adjacent Jingang Temple. It is a must-see ancient scene in Kangding .
According to legend, Nanwu Temple was first a branch temple of the Potala Palace Nangjiazhacang. It was moved from Paoma Mountain to its current location at that time, and the plaque "Nanwu Temple" was given by the Emperor Qianlong of the Qing Dynasty.
This is a place with a purely strong religious atmosphere. There are no tickets and there are not too many tourists. The temple is very quiet, with wisps of Tibetan incense flowing from the main hall.
Nanwu Temple is located 2.5 kilometers south of Kangding City. It was built by the great lama Sangjie Xingqin in 867. It has a thousand-year history and belongs to the Gelug Sect of Tibetan Buddhism.

A huge temple, peaceful and tranquil, magnificent
, The age is very old, on a hillside, you need to walk up slowly, there are not many tourists, but the building is very well preserved and it is very worth seeing
Nanwu Temple is located in the south of Kangding City, with a brilliant golden dome among lush forests. Nanwu Temple was formerly known as "Namu Temple" on Paoma Mountain, which means "fairy temple". It was originally a Baijiao temple in Tibetan Buddhism. Nanwu Temple is a famous Gelug temple. Known as the Double Temple Yunlin.
There is an uphill road along the archway of Nanwu Village. On the way, I met a Tibetan aunt who enthusiastically took us to the temple. The entrance of the temple is being repaired, and the new gate tower is magnificent. In order to protect the ancient trees, there was a tree passing through the gatehouse. The temple is a courtyard structure, majestic, solemn and rich. When we went, the lamas in the main hall were chanting, and the sound penetrated the forehead and hit the soul. There are a few believers in the auxiliary hall who are walking around the Buddha.
Big tibetan temple with parts of three different sects ( nyima, gelug, sakya)! is worth a walk there either on the hills or along the river up from main town Kangding. Its called Lhamo Tse in tibetan
