Honganji Nagoya Beside-in was founded in the Ming Dynasty, that is, from 1492 to 1500. It was a temple of the Pure Land sect, and the deity dedicated to it was Amitabha Nyorai. The famous Kyoto Benjamin Temple is located in the sub-temple of Nagoya, the second largest wooden building in Japan.
