Super first-class kaiseki cuisine. Every dish in it was carefully selected by the chef that day. The soup inside was also delicious. I drank the soup if I didn’t drink it. The environment is a Japanese garden’s housekeeping. The decoration inside is more luxurious.
Kobe✦Two Michelin stars✦おんじき
Kobe is a city that is both fashionable and Japanese tradition. The cuisine also just confirmed its innovation and heritage.
The owner, Master Ma Tou, personally selects the ingredients on the market every morning. His harshness of raw materials, proficiency in conditioning skills, and skill in preparing dishes can clearly feel his "unusual". From the conversation, I know that he has won awards in the World Western Food Competition. No wonder, the style of some dishes and the choice of ingredients, such as the choice of sea prawns instead of Ise Ebin, can reflect full western food elements. The main dishes are sirloin Kobe beef and duck tenderloin. The two types of meat with completely different tastes are both tender and delicious. Especially the sirloin of Kobe beef has reached the point of melting in the mouth without chewing.
Compared to the kaiseki cuisine that is everywhere in Kyoto, there are few high-end kaiseki restaurants in Kobe. I think they are all occupied by Kobe beef. If you don’t like the kind of kaiseki that is full of people in Kyoto, you can find an old store in Kobe or Nara. The taste is not worse than that of Kyoto, and there is less crowdedness of people. You can relax and enjoy the food and beautiful scenery.
We are self-guided. The restaurants we ate in Kobe before were not satisfied. Of course, we were traveling to experience the best and most distinctive things in this place. So I found this store by chance, with two Michelin stars. Although the store is relatively small, But the taste is really good, very, very delicate. We ate lunch at this restaurant. There is no menu. Everything we eat depends on the chef's mood. We eat lunch for about 2 hours. We were all a little surprised when we checked out. Four people ate it, about RMB 1,320, which is equivalent to around RMB 330 per person. Personally, I think it's very cost-effective. After all, the color and fragrance are top-notch! But at night it will be about three times more expensive, and the dishes are more advanced!
Now that the children have grown up, in order to avoid being crowded on Christmas Day, we deliberately avoided the 25th. When the children were very young, we all came to eat on the 25th, because that day happened to be Christmas and wedding anniversary, and each meal took a long time.
The cooking is very particular, and the wines are very rich and taste good. This shop gives me a very high-class feeling, and the dining atmosphere inside is just right. The most distinctive feature of the restaurant is that there is no menu. Just ask the waiter to recommend what you want.
