Nowadays, trains around the world are developing with each passing day, and steam trains are rare. However, in Sabah, Malaysia, the only steam train on Borneo Island is still preserved. It is also the only train in the world that is started by burning wood. In 1896, in order to transport crops from the inland to the port, the British North Borneo Company built a trainway to transport steam trains, called the North Borneo Railway. Today, this train no longer carries goods, but carries tourists to visit the wilderness scenery of Sabah, enjoy the scenery of the suburbs along the way, and also stops several small stations for visitors to visit. Sitting on an old nostalgic British steam train to dine and see the scenery, the staff in the British retro uniforms provide a detailed service, giving people a sense of time and space. The years seem to go back centuries... This steam train line is now a unique tourism experience in Sabah. It runs only on Wednesdays and Saturdays. The train crosses between Tanjung Aru and Papar. The whole journey takes about half a day and needs to be booked in advance, as each passenger can only have a maximum of 180.
