About Tunku Abdul Rahman National Park

Tunku Abdul Rahman Park is a famous marine-type national park in Malaysia. It consists of five islands, namely Gaya Island, Sabi Island, Mamudi Island, Manukan Island and Solo Island. These islands have beautiful sandy beaches and crystal clear waters. The sea is home to a large number of corals and marine life. The jungle is rich in plants and many rare wild animals. You can choose to island hop, taking a stroll through the woods, diving in the water, or choose an just one island to enjoy the blue sky and a leisurely holiday.

1.The necessary things to bring along are swimming costumes, floaters, hats, sunglasses, sunscreen lotion, towels, seasick medication and so on.2.It is advisable to bring along your own water and food when visiting Tunku Abdul Rahman Park as there are not many restaurants on the island.3.Pulau Manukan and Pulau Gaya are pretty big islands and it is recommended that you stay a night there.

Tunku Abdul Rahman Park is made up of Pulau Gaya, Pulau sapi, Pulau Mamutik, Pulau Manukan and Pulau Sulug, and you can either choose to visit a couple of them in 1 day or spend a few days to visit them all. The most popular island is Pulau Manukan where you can snorkel or scuba dive in the limpid water, or just rent a beach house and enjoy the scenery. At Pulau Mamutik, there are pristine coral reefs and spectacular beaches. There are also beautiful beaches on Pulau Sapi where you can snorkel, sunbathe or explore the dense forest surrounding it. On Pulau Gaya is a large pristine and virgin rainforest with red colored forest, pebble beaches and others. Pulau Sulug is comparatively more serene, and it is more suitable for long periods of sea gazing. Basically, all the islands do have on-water activities like fly fishing, sea parachuting, seabed exploration and so on.
