This small bar is not bad. The grilled meats in it are all good. My favorite is satay kebabs. The ones made in Malaysia are more authentic and better than those in Singapore. The roasted pork belly is not as good as in Cantonese restaurants.
A western-style barbecue restaurant, the grilled seafood platter inside is very good, there are pomfret-like fish, and small octopus, the steak is good, a big piece, and the price is very beautiful.
The dishes are exquisite, the environment is also very good, and it has a sense of style. I highly recommend the lamb. The chef recommended at the time. The lamb has no smell and is very fragrant. It is especially delicious with fresh vegetables.
Our local expat friends brought us here for dinner - and we loved the food! It was excellent, creative and well prepared. We ordered food to share in tapas style serving sizes, which you can easily get too excited and order too much. Remember to leave some room for their dessert, which is divine. The location and ambience is great in a nice up-market-neighbourhood. Except for a few details: - The air was filled with thick cigarette smoke. YES, they allow smoking in the busy dining area. Smoking indoors is still legal in Malaysia. - The noise level is quite loud. It makes the place pumped with energy but it's just a tad difficult to maintain a conversation. - The bar service was super slow!!! So place continious orders when you're there at happy hour or you'll miss out. But I still highly recommend it for these reasons: - The table service is good enough, friendly, attentive and efficient - Food is very good. - Cocktails are well crafted and the wine selection is very good.
The bistro is well set up with sufficient space between tables. Service is prompt and food is well prepared. They have a good selection of wines to pair with the food. Mostly reasonably priced. Clientele are mainly from the upper middle class neighbourhood nearby. Avoid their bar area upstairs if you don't cope well with cigarette and cigar smoke. It's a real health hazard upstairs.Really baffles me why smoking is tolerated at this venue.
The sommelier is a great guy who know his stuff, so feel free to let him do the pairing wine and foods.
