I'm a little sorry.
Original Text
I wanted it to be a place where I should be able to hide my feelings for swordsman Musashi, but I was a little disappointed because there was only a pillar in the field and there was no evidence of this as well as the guide display nearby. It's close to Kumamoto Castle, so I think it's okay to develop some facilities 〜.
It is on the east side of the outer castle along the bridge. The plants are growing well, but only the pillars and explanations to commemorate Musashi's later years remain.
When Musashi Miyamoto came to Kumamoto, there was a residence given by the castle owner, but unfortunately the shape of the old residence remains at all. There is a white pillar on the site of the Kumamoto Nishi Pension Office near Kumamoto Castle, and a stone pillar on the opposite bank of the Tsuboi River, so you can barely know the former residence. Musashi has left traces here and there in Kumamoto, including Reigan-dong and 500 Rakan. I wish I could restore the former residence by old documents.
I knew that swordsman Musashi Miyamoto was held by the Hosokawa clan and lived in Higo in his later years, but I didn't know that he was living near Kumamoto Castle. The former residence was quietly located on the sidewalk along the stream at the foot of the castle.
It was Kumamoto that swordsman Musashi Miyamoto spent his last time. Writing a famous Olympic book. What I learned about such history was the bulletin board of the tourist map near Kumamoto Castle. I tried to find it interesting, but the road along the Tsuboi River is a dead end. There is a NHK building on the ruins of Chiba Castle, which is said to have been a residence, so it is not so easy to enter. If you walk after it can't be helped, you will find a wooden monument on the site of the former residence in front of the pension organization building. Moreover, it is the bank of the river that stands. You can't live in such a place ...
