     Takahashi Park is located between Kumamoto Castle and the Tsuboi River that flows east. This park was created to commemorate a man named Morio Yokoi, who once served as mayor of Kumamoto and laid the foundation for the town of Kumamoto. There was a statue called "Yokoi Kokusu and the Ishin Gunzo" in this park. The person standing in the center is Kokusu Yokoi, a thinker from Kumamoto. It seems that he follows Ryoma Sakamoto and Kaishu Katsu next to him.      On the banks of the Tsuboi River, which flows to the east of Kumamoto Castle, there is Takahashi Park created to commemorate Morio Takahashi, the former mayor of Kumamoto.
