Photos of Qiandeng Ancient Town

Qiandeng Ancient Town is located in Kunshan, Suzhou. It is a typical ancient southern Chinese canal town with a history of more than 2,500 years. Qiandeng Old Town is the birthplace of Kunqu Opera and Jiangnan traditional music. It boasts a relatively intact stone slate street as well as ancient houses in good condition. The town preserves the Yu's pawn shop, and major attractions include the former residence of Gu Yanwu; the tomb of Gu Yanwu; Qinfeng Tower, a thousand-year-old ancient tower; and the Gu Jian Memorial.
