There are almost no traces of artificial modification here, and the original ecological natural scenery is completely preserved. Most of the area is surrounded by reeds and part is covered by moss. Looking over from the observatory, the scenery is still very spectacular.
There is a wetland in Doto Kushiro, Hokkaido, Japan, called Kushiro Wetland, where a river winds through it. The mountain is blocked by heavy snow in winter, and the viewing platform cannot be opened to the public. In summer, standing on the Hosooka Observation Deck in the Kushiro Marsh, the open wetland suddenly opens up, a lush scene. In addition to self-driving and chartered vehicles, tourists usually take JR regular trains to Kushiro Shitsugen Station, and then follow the signs to easily reach the Hosooka Observation Deck. Tickets are not charged and it is open for free.
Even in summer, standing on the platform overlooking the entire Kushiro Marsh still felt a bit of chill, because it is relatively high, the wind is very strong, it is still quite cold, but the scenery is good and the view is wide. This wetland is one of the precious natural resources of Hokkaido, and it has nurtured many species, including the red-crowned cranes that come here every year and are called the god of wetlands by the Ainu people. But because the wind is really big and very cold, I took a photo with the Kushiro Marsh brand and left soon haha
The wetland is a wetland. There is a small railway station at the foot of the wetland observatory. There are no staff, but there are a lot of facilities inside. Take a small train to get here, and then climb up to the observatory, a green area, deep forests, lakes, and grass. Glance
Take a ride on the Shithara train to experience the beauty of the wetland, the oven in the car, delicious pudding and bento. When I saw the Kushiro Marsh under the snow, wild cranes flying, and swans swimming in the lake, I could no longer restrain the feeling of going.
