The blowhole is really cool and it's a nice place to take in the beautiful views that Hawaii has to offer. Just a heads up though, it does get extremely windy!!
Halona Blowhole is one of eastern Oahu's most visited regular attractions. Discovered just before Sandy Beach Park, this "blowhole" is really the consequence of tidal powers dissolving the coral drift so as to make a give in where suction of ebbing waves occasionally sends a gush of water high into the air. The area is dominated by a scenic post that offers front line seats to this display, notwithstanding giving a portion of the best clearing perspectives of the Oahu drift to be found anytime around the island. Regardless of whether you are hovering around the Oahu on a visit, or are going to Sandy's or Makapuu Beach, take a couple of minutes to look at the show and the view from delightful Halona Blowhole.

We came here at night and let me tell you it was gorgeous because of all the stars you can see! Great place to go stargazing! Also we watched the sunrise and it was amazing very calming and relaxing! Definitely recommend this for everyone!
Not every wave surge observed results in the blowhole spewing water. Patience is required.

The Halona Blowhole is really nice. The big thing is you need to have some patience, it may take awhile for the water to come up, but it is worth the wait. They have an area for people to park and take pictures above the blowhole. There are so many beautiful views there!
