Pioneer Plaza is delightful for people of all ages to explore. You can climb and play on the larger-than-life sculptures of cattle in the park. If you want to have your picture taken by one of the huge bronze longhorns, then that is possible too. Mixed in with the sculptures are a small waterfall and creek that are fun to explore. You can take a walk on the gravel path that offers trees and flowers that are native to the area. You can also explore the cemetery where former Dallas mayors and Texas Revolution leaders are buried.

The Kennedy Memorial Square was built to commemorate the former US President John F. Kennedy who has been assassinated in Dallas. It is an outdoor plaza, and the entire plaza makes people feel solemn. To commemorate President Kennedy, the house where the assassin had hidden was built into the Kennedy Memorial Hall. On the asphalt road to the south of the hall, a X mark was painted in white to record the location of the president's assassination.
