Terry KMust see! This is really a magical and spiritual place with a giant assortment(s) of tropical flowers in natural settings. Part jungle, gardens, and oceanfront views. If I only had time to do ONE thing while on this side of the island, I'd do this.
FlorafifleAt an altitude of 13,796 feet (4205 meters), this is the highest mountain on the Big Island of Hawaii. If you count the part of it submerged in the sea, its height will exceed 10,000 meters, making it the highest mountain in the world (more than the Himalayas). But height is only an indicator to measure it. What I like is the stargazing experience in the mountains. In the eyes of traditional Hawaiians, it is a sacred place. The weather here is dry and there is no light pollution. There are more than 300 sunny nights throughout the year. Therefore, it has become one of the best places in the world for astronomical observation. Astronomical telescopes are scattered all over the hills. Drive there in the afternoon, enjoy the spectacular sunset on the earth from the clouds, step on the brown volcanic land, and have an infinitely broad field of vision. There will be a feeling of being outside the earth. Stargazing at night can see countless twinkles, which really complied with the phrase "stars can be picked by hand". It was cold, but I really couldn't bear to leave the bright starry sky.
Susan2019The waterfall is not big, the tourists are really quite a lot, drive over by yourself, there is free parking, the attractions are also free, the place is not big, I am most impressed by the thick trees next to them, too different!
好大气场Go to Hawaii, you must go to the Big Island, otherwise you go to the place called Honolulu. The Big Island is the largest island in the Hawaiian region. There are coffee and volcanos on the island. Coffee is average but the volcano is very shocking, must go.
guanren2000The Big Island of Hawaii is a paradise. Everything here is very big, the cars are very big, the trees are high, and the mountains are high. The volcano park is very shocking, this still developing island. People live very freely. Every afternoon, many people come to surf on the beach next to my homestay. Hilo rains heavily in the middle of the night, and usually the sun shines again the next day. Mauna Kee is really good looking at the stars, and the way up the mountain is like the moon. The mountain is so cold, I saw the Milky Way for the first time. Back all the way down, the rainforest tree frog was calling again at the beach.
