In Langde Shangzhai, the dwellings are built against the mountain and are wooden stilted buildings. There are five Huajie roads leading to the village. The east, west, and north sides have wooden pillars and tile roofs to protect the gates of the village, referred to as "Zhaimen". In the village, there are row upon row of stilted wooden buildings. Zhaizhong roads, courtyard dams, and gates are all paved with cobblestone or bluestone inlays. Surrounded by mountains and rivers, it is a very old Miao village with a rich cultural heritage. It is also the only Miao village where the Beijing Olympic tinder passed through in 2008.

Decided to check it out temporarily. This trip is worthwhile, although only a short stroll due to time constraints. Langde Miao Village: Located in the hinterland of Miaoling, 27 kilometers southeast of Kaili City, it is divided into two natural villages. Open to the outside world is Shanglangde, as the country's first folk-custom village tour destination, here is famous and real: Diaojiaolou, Lushengtang, Fengyuqiao are many. In addition to the unique wooden stilted buildings of the Miao nationality, you can also enjoy the performances of the villagers’ wine songs, costumed Miao dance, Lusheng dance, Baqi Lusheng dance and so on.

A small Miao village, the commercial atmosphere is very weak, the villagers are very friendly and real, most of them take the initiative to greet, and take pictures very cooperative. The wine-blocking ceremony is very good, and the performance is also very beautiful. It is the villagers performing themselves, what should they do after the performance, or go home or work. I like this original ecological performance, which is more grounded than the large-scale performance created by sound and light. I like the small river in front of the village. The water is really clear and gurgling down. The river is full of stones. I didn't find anything too special. The ducks and geese here are really happy. Every day a group of them play freely in the river. I climbed the Olympic trail, and when I came down, I took a short cut that was very steep and slipped a few times. All in all I feel pretty good, I recommend to relax!

We originally planned to go to Qianhu in Xijiang, but the reviews were negative and the commercialization was serious. We specially changed Langde Miao Village. Then we looked at the traffic map of Xijiang Gate on National Day from morning to night. Our choice was too correct! Xiazhai is more of a commercial area. Shangzhai is a residential area. Walk for 10-15 minutes. There will be performances at around 10 and 16:00 every day. The villagers are very dedicated in rainy days. The homestay we encountered was also very interesting. We almost ran out of the boss. Apart from meeting a group of Guizhou (Duyun people?) who came in to make trouble to eat in the middle of the night, we were the last guests to stay. The boss was going to be closed. They were so noisy that all the residents woke up, very lacking quality. Only this incident makes our impression of Guizhou people very deducted!
