Amazing! Sometimes I really admiring what human hands can create! There is not enough words in any language to describe it. I was surprised. Do not miss the chance to see the miracle of the world! I recommend both to take boat trip and to climb. About climbing, yes, there are many people, but just ignore them and enjoy the ancient masters creation!

This is truly ancient monument you must see in your lifetime. the site is exactly as you would imagine from pictures and info on the net. Beautiful view of the surrounding rivers and waterways. Quite a long but steady climb to the top which gives amazing views but I wouldn’t join the queue for the 9 bends walk as far too many tourists waiting for what will be a long walk/climb with just a few moments view. Two or three temples at the top near the Buddhas head which wee interesting. not good if you have anyone with you using a wheelchair!! far too steep ramps! others say you can pay by weichat next to the ticket office but I chose to pay at the main ticket foyer and thankfully I had cash as this was the only payment method available. Cny 80. read the history before you hi ax the guides are expensive but you will really enjoy this place.
This is an impressive sculpture. Be prepared to climb stairs and wait in line. We arrived early in the day ~9, but shoukd have been there earlier. They do have snack bars in the line which is nice. Oh, and did I mention stairs?
If you take a taxi to the Giant Buddha i recommend getting out as soon as you get to the big brown stone gate and walking the rest of the way. Once you get up to the Buddha there are easy photo locations that allow you to get a good selfie with the head of the Buddha but not the whole thing. If you want to take photos or see the whole sculpture you’ll have to stand in an insanely long line for an hour or two depending on the time of day.
I had a dream to visit this place and finaly did it. The place is really amazing. It takes about 2 hours to walk around this place. And of course, it's better to go there on weekdays when there're not so many tourists.
