National AAAA tourist area, located in the south of Jinan city area, is the extension of the Mount Tai and one of the must-see of Jinan. With a history that can be traced back to Sui Dynasty when the Buddhism prevailed and thousands of Buddhist statues were engraved. Temples, caves, pavilions, terraces, towers, and Buddhist carvings are on the mountain. Thousand Buddhas Mountain two peaks. As it follows from name the scenic area Thousand Buddhas Mountain containing several points, of view also supposed to have a mountain peak. There are two of them, that makes climbing and area exploration more interesting. After following the main way with big and wide steps you'll finally get to the top of mountain. This is the first peak, highest. The second one is located opposite to the first one and lower a little. The curved and stoned path is leading to it. 千佛洞 or Thousand Buddhas Cave. Actually, this sightseeing gave the name to whole scenic area of Thousands Buddhas Mountain. The cave is located inside of Mountain, entrance are in the bottom which could be reached after walking through the path with red strips hanging down from the old tree branches. Qianfoshan or Thousand Buddhas Mountain 千佛山 is real gem of Jinan city, Shandong, China. This even could be a single reason to Visit Jinan City. Several landmarks are located inside. Among new maid installations and stone expositions there are ancient masterpieces making impression. Climbing was not hard and has bit required a lot of time. During the Kaihuang period of the Sui Dynasty, many Buddha statues were carved on the mountain and the "Qianfo Temple" was established, hence the name Qianfo Mountain. In 1959, it was transformed into a park. In 1995, Qianfo Mountain was listed as a provincial scenic spot, in 2005 it was rated as a national AAAA tourist attraction, and in 2017 it was listed as a national scenic spot.
