Vaclav Square is also a great place to relax and enjoy. It is surrounded by buildings, some elegant buildings, and it is very busy with people, so you can relax in the cafe.
Vaclav Square is also a wide street, the end of which is the famous National Museum and Vaclav statues, the street is lined with shops, and many Czech historical events. I met the roadside playing the piano, adding to the romantic atmosphere of the square.
Wenceslas square is one of the main square in Prague, it is the center of the Prague metro commercial and cultural life. As if the old town square is a representative of the ancient buildings, wenceslas square is the masterpiece of modern life. Once rally of celebration, now square is regarded as a "wonderful avenue" Prague. History shows long and narrow rectangle wenceslas square has a history of over 600 years ago, many historical events in this has ever happened, is a traditional demonstrations, celebration and other public gathering places.
Beautiful view from the center of the square. Definitely check out the book shops here!
Good place to come and sit with a beer for people and architecture watching.
If you're walking around Wenceslas square you cannot help but notice the many stalls selling sausages and other quick meals. The sausages are surprisingly nice but the best thing in my opinion is the fried cheese served in a bun with mayo and a leaf of green salad. Cheap, oily, filling and the best thing in the world when you're drunk. It was also featured as a thing to do in Anthony Bourdain's No reservations episode on Prague and I think he nailed it.
Wenceslas Square or Nove Mesto (New Town) was created in the mid fourteenth century. It was named after Prague's (Bohemias) Patron Saint, St. Wenceslas.
